Exotic Succulents are some of the most colorful succulents and look amazing in planters and the garden.  They like partial to full sunlight. However, the intense afternoon sun in some reagons can be to strong and the leaves can sunburn.

Exotic Succulents are not used to the cold and will not tollerate temperatures below freezing. You can keep your Exotic Succulents  healthy during the cold months by moving them indoors. Place them near a bright window turning evry couple weeks t keep them from streaching one way. Once the threat of frost has past in the spring, gradually move them back outside. A couple hours in morning sun, then a few more, until they are in full sun.

Like all succulents, Exotic Succulents need soil that drains quickly. This helps prevent moisture from rotting the roots. A good quality cactus mix will work fine and can be purchased from your local nursery.

Water thoroughly, but allow the soil to dry between watering. However, keep in mind that while most succulents are quite drought tolerant, they still need to be watered each time the soil dries out. Put your finger a couple of centimeters down into the soil and feel if the soil is moist.  When in dought it is safer to underwater than to overdo it. During the cooler months, water less frequently and less deeply. Try to water in the morning when a sunny day is expected so that any excess will evaporate in the sunlight.
