Description
Aloe polyphylla ( spiral Aloe) aloes, is a stemless succulent that forms a rosette of leaves arranged in a perfect spiral. The rosette grows up to 1 Ft. tall and 2 Ftin diameter leaves are fleshy, soft green, broad at the base, tapering to a dark, sharp tip with irregular teeth along the margins. Spiral aloe grows very fast and must reach at least 8 inches in diameter before spiraling. It is one of the most ornamental Aloes.
It needs well-drained soil and grows very well on a slope. Plants need to be protected from extremely hot temperatures. In spring or early summer, mature plants produce compact clusters salmon-pink flowers. More mature plants are extremely expensive.
