Exotic Tender (Soft) Collections of Succulents for Sale
Exotic (Tender) Succulents are the most colorful succulents and look amazing in planters as well as the garden. They like partial to full sunlight. Morning sun may be the best in areas that have intense afternoon sun.
You can keep your tender Exotic Succulents healthy during the cold months by moving them indoors. Place them near a bright window turning every couple weeks to keep them from stretching one way. Once the threat of frost has past in the spring, gradually move them back outside. A couple hours in morning sun, then a few more, until they are in full sun.
Like all succulents, Exotic Succulents need soil that drains quickly. This helps prevent moisture from rotting the roots. A good quality cactus mix will work fine and can be purchased from your local nursery.
Water thoroughly, but allow the soil to dry between watering. However, keep in mind that while most succulents are quite drought tolerant, they still need to be watered each time the soil dries out. Put your finger a couple of centimeters down into the soil and feel if the soil is moist. When in doubt it is safer to underwater than to overdo it. During the cooler months, water less frequently and less deeply. Try to water in the morning when a sunny day is expected so that any excess will evaporate in the sunlight.
